Shotcut vs kdenlive reddit11/10/2023 ![]() ![]() Intuitive though, yes I'm actually picking up all of it's more advanced features and it's professional workflow pretty quickly. I'll admit my original question isn't all that great since people of different skill levels are gonna prefer different video editors, and with kdenlive it shows 'cause it's not quite as simple as Pitivi. Right now I'm using Kdenlive and it's actually a lot smoother. Also, there were some basic effects and features it didn't have, and it doesn't have as much community support as I thought it did when I first installed it. The live playback would freeze up and it crashed a few times, losing me all of my work. Either way, it DID end up getting buggy, and I decided to ditch it recently. I don't remember why I chose it I think maybe it was the interface looking nice, or the simple workflow, or something where it was officially supported on the Manjaro software repository so I figured it would be less buggy.
